Web Property
A web property is a point of presence on the web that is an asset of a corporation used for the purpose of representing a brand, person, or another identity.
The property can be considered a communication channel for the entity whose identity is associated with it. Points of presence on the web which contain content about an entity may not be an owned property but an earned one (e.g. restaurant review pages on sites such as Yelp).

Why do you need more than one web property?+
Google said they generally won't show more than two results from the same domain in the top Google search results. Google may still show more than two results if they determine a searcher would benefit from it and it is relevant for the query. That means that if you have only one property you limit yourself to occupying only 2 out of the 10 available positions on the 1rst page of Google.
